Student Nuntiums
What is a Nuntium at Liberty Classical Academy?
Student Nuntiums are an important tradition for our upper school students. Each week, an upper school student addresses Assembly and presents a nuntium, or message from the heart. The messages are meant to apply biblical principles to relevant issues that our children are facing. Hearing our students speak to the Lord's word is really powerful, and we are so proud of the courage they have to stand up and share their thoughts with their peers. Below are examples of nuntiums given by our students.
MIA
"Hope is what keeps us going when things get tough, reminding us that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel." (Read Mia's Nuntium)
AVA
"Among my peers I was something of an outlier. Not only was I the only Christian, I was the only person in my group who held certain beliefs on some major moral and political issues." (Read Ava's Nuntium)
CADE
"During this stress, we may find ourselves wondering about our grades or our future, forgetting that God has a plan for each of us." (Read Cade's Nuntium)
EMMA
"It’s so natural in our sinful nature to go with the crowd and base our opinions of people on what others have said. But we ought to remember that we are called to judge righteously." (Read Emma's Nuntium)
ZANE
"We can always be thankful to God and express our gratitude to Him, but how do we truly feel? When I sit alone in prayer I’ve started bringing everything I have to God, not just what I think sounds nice." (Read Zane's Nuntium)
TEA
"I encourage you to walk through your day as if you can see the Lord walking beside you. Would you still go through your day in the same way? It is important to remember that God is the only important audience in our lives." (Read Tea's Nuntim)
SYLVIA
"Hate is one of the most destructive things to our world as we see it now. It is a sin that is extremely easy to fall into, especially in such a divided and political nation; however, we can even see it in our own lives. As humans, we rationalize these things, but Jesus called everyone to choose love and grace first." (Read Sylvia's Nuntium)
CALEB
"Today, I challenge you to let go of your life, trusting God and His plans over your own. I’m not saying to let go of your dreams, but rather to maybe let God say no so that you can receive a bigger yes." (Read Caleb's Nuntium)
LILY
"Trials strengthen us and make us tougher people. As it says in Romans 5:3-5, “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance.” Without doing anything difficult, how can someone ever become strong? " (Read Lily's Nuntium)
KENNEDY
"Giving back to a community can look like almost anything. It could be your time, resources, or money. 1 John 3:17-18 says “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? ..." (Read Kennedy's Nuntium)
EMMY KATE
"You guys are almost certainly ready to make your own decisions right? Well, yes and no. You might be getting older, but getting older doesn’t mean cutting your parents out of the picture. Whether you’re in sixth grade or graduated from college, you should still love and respect your parents." (Read Emmy Kate's Nuntium)
HUNTER
"Personally, I have struggled with this challenge, feeling at times stagnant in my growth in Christ, and unable to change who I was as a person. Whether it just be general behaviors, or specific habits like social media overuse, or procrastination." (Read Hunter's Nuntium)
