Math and Reading Specialist
Liberty Classical Academy is a Christian, classical Preschool-12th grade private school with two locations in White Bear Lake and Hugo, MN, and we are adding to our tremendous team of experienced and talented teachers! We are accepting applications for a Math and Reading Specialist beginning in the fall of 2025 at our Hugo campus.
Responsibilities
- Implement learning plans and maintain accompanying documentation.
- Provide student accommodations, which are based upon the individual Student Success Plan; may include but not limited to: Proctoring extended time exams, scribe, and reader.
- Effective communication with parents, students, faculty, and administrators through in-person conversations, phone, and email.
- Instruct and support students in classrooms, as well as small group settings.
- Meet with the Learning Specialist Director and teacher to provide input and determine appropriate levels of student performance, needed accommodations/modifications of instructional objectives and assignments.
- May attend staff meetings to discuss the academic needs of students.
- Other duties as necessary or assigned, such as supervising recess, hallways, or lunch.
Education & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree not required but preferred
- Knowledge of phonics and Singapore Math
- Orton-Gillingham certification desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Growth mind-set disposition
- Must possess and display excellent human relations skills when interacting with staff, students, and community
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings

STAFF POSITIONS
Licensed School Nurse
Liberty Classical Academy is a Christian, classical Preschool-12th grade private school with two locations in White Bear Lake and Hugo, MN. The School Nurse is responsible for managing and providing health services to students in a private K-12 school setting. This role involves direct care, health education, and promotion of a healthy school environment. The School Nurse will also ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies, and will collaborate with parents, teachers, and external healthcare providers to support student well-being.
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Public Health Nurse (PHN) certification in Minnesota preferred.
- Certification in School Nursing (NCSN) preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Experience in public health or community health nursing is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate care to students who are injured or become ill at school.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate health records and document care provided.
- Conduct routine health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.).
- Manage immunization records and ensure compliance with state immunization laws.
- Provide training to staff on recognizing and responding to health issues.
- Provide first aid and CPR training to staff.
- Participate in emergency response drills and ensure the school is prepared for health-related emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's health needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to accommodate students with special health needs.

- Reconciling bank accounts
- Processing payroll and tracking payroll data
- Code and enter credit card activity and reconcile account
- Code and enter checks and deposits
Competencies and Administrative
- Stays current on accounting rules and regulations related to functional area
