Math and Reading Specialist

Responsibilities

Implement learning plans and maintain accompanying documentation.
Provide student accommodations, which are based upon the individual Student Success Plan; may include but not limited to: Proctoring extended time exams, scribe, and reader.
Effective communication with parents, students, faculty, and administrators through in-person conversations, phone, and email.
Instruct and support students in classrooms, as well as small group settings.
Meet with the Learning Specialist Director and teacher to provide input and determine appropriate levels of student performance, needed accommodations/modifications of instructional objectives and assignments.
May attend staff meetings to discuss the academic needs of students.
Other duties as necessary or assigned, such as supervising recess, hallways, or lunch.

Education & Skills

Bachelor’s degree not required but preferred
Knowledge of phonics and Singapore Math
Orton-Gillingham certification desirable
Strong problem-solving skills
Growth mind-set disposition
Must possess and display excellent human relations skills when interacting with staff, students, and community
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with individuals and in teams; communicating effectively and concisely both orally and written

Preschool Teacher's Aide

The Teacher's Aide assists teachers in providing a caring and safe atmosphere where children are encouraged to grow spiritually, physically, intellectually, and emotionally.

Qualifications

Age 18+
Prior experience in a classroom. Knowledge of classical teaching methods is preferred.

STAFF POSITIONS

Licensed School Nurse

Liberty Classical Academy is a Christian, classical Preschool-12th grade private school with two locations in White Bear Lake and Hugo, MN. The School Nurse is responsible for managing and providing health services to students in a private K-12 school setting. This role involves direct care, health education, and promotion of a healthy school environment. The School Nurse will also ensure compliance with state health regulations and school policies, and will collaborate with parents, teachers, and external healthcare providers to support student well-being.

Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
Public Health Nurse (PHN) certification in Minnesota preferred.
Certification in School Nursing (NCSN) preferred.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
Experience in public health or community health nursing is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide immediate care to students who are injured or become ill at school.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments as necessary.
Maintain accurate health records and document care provided.
Conduct routine health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.).
Manage immunization records and ensure compliance with state immunization laws.
Provide training to staff on recognizing and responding to health issues.
Provide first aid and CPR training to staff.
Participate in emergency response drills and ensure the school is prepared for health-related emergencies.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's health needs.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to accommodate students with special health needs.

Successful candidates will have prior experience working with QuickBooks, database software, FACTS, Excel and other Microsoft Suite of products.

Responsibilities

Documenting financial transaction details and monitoring the transactions
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconciling bank accounts
Processing payroll and tracking payroll data
Code and enter credit card activity and reconcile account
Code and enter checks and deposits

Competencies and Administrative

Stays current on accounting rules and regulations related to functional area
Accounting / Bookkeeping and Payroll skills
Multi-task, problem solve, and complete all assigned duties
Strong written and verbal communication; excellent interpersonal skills
Organized and detail oriented; able to maintain records and files
Able to conduct themselves in a professional manner while interacting with parents, faculty, and administrators
Ability to produce high quality work; able to maintain confidentiality at all times

Qualifications

H/S Diploma with Advanced Technical School or Accounting courses towards AA degree, or bachelor’s degree

Job Summary: The school cafeteria employee performs a variety of support responsibilities for food service operations including:

Food preparation & meal serving to K-2 grade students
Ensuring a clean and safe dining environment
Adheres to all food safety regulations
Work hours are 9:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday-Friday

The work contributes to safe, efficient operation of the kitchen site and also to safe, timely availability and delivery of meals and services.

Qualifications:
