ABOUT THE JUNIOR THESIS

For the junior thesis, students in 11th grade choose a biblical topic to research in preparation for a written and oral defense. Much like the senior thesis, the student's defense, albeit shorter in length than their senior counterparts, is given in front of a panel of judges and a live audience.

Junior thesis presentations are an important, preparatory step before the culmination of a Liberty education: The Senior Thesis. Throughout our students' time at Liberty, their critical thinking, in-depth research, persuasive writing, and presentation skills are honed and sharpened. The junior thesis does not disappoint in showcasing the progress they've made in all of the areas listed above.

SAMPLE STUDENT TOPICS :

  • Open Theism
  • Feminism
  • Salvation
  • War
  • Church Gender Roles
  • Divorce
  • Baptism
  • Education

A special thank you to the judges and our teachers for your time, resources, and support of our Liberty students!
