(1946-2022)

The family of Roger and Vicky Smith has established a financial scholarship for Liberty Classical Academy students in honor of Mrs. Vicky Esther Smith. Vicky was a friend and supporter of Liberty Classical Academy for many years. She believed a quality, well rounded, faith-based education was critical to produce great leaders.

Vicky was a kind, compassionate woman of faith with a servant’s heart. She sought to better the lives of others and welcomed and cared for all who crossed her path, focusing on their strengths while encouraging them through their challenges. Vicky was often described as someone who led by example, whether in her home or in her career, and this scholarship will recognize individuals who exemplify these characteristics to positively impact others.

Recipients of the Vicky E. Smith Merit Scholarship would pursue academic excellence, have a strong faith, a helpful spirit, a respectful and well-mannered disposition, and a strong work ethic.

$7,500 for the 2026-27 academic school year
One scholarship awarded each year

APPLICATION PROCESS

Completed application, including personal essay responses
2 recommendation letters (1 must be from a teacher)
Finalists will interview with selection committee

SELECTION CRITERIA

Current or Prospective Student entering 10th-12th grade 3.5 GPA (weighted) or higher
Demonstration of Liberty Classical Body of Values of faith, leadership, and academic excellence
Student must have the intent to graduate from Liberty Classical Academy
Student must exemplify the selfless leadership of the late Vicky E. Smith

DEADLINE

Final applications will be due April 17th, 2026
Interviews will be held following the application deadline.
