Preschool/Pre-K Teacher’s Assistant (Part-Time)

Liberty Classical Academy is a Christ-centered, classical Preschool–12th grade private school with campuses in White Bear Lake and Hugo, Minnesota. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and dependable Teacher’s Assistant to support our Preschool and Pre-K Teacher’s at the Hugo campus.

This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children in a hands-on, faith-based environment and who takes joy in helping students learn and grow. The Teacher's Assistant supports teachers in providing a caring and safe atmosphere where children are encouraged to grow spiritually, physically, intellectually, and emotionally.

Liberty Classical Academy – Hugo Campus (Hugo, MN)

Responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities
• Provide care and supervision for children in the Before School program
• Assist in supervising students during recess and lunch periods
• Help prepare materials for classroom activities
• Engage with children during play, learning activities, and transitions
• Support children with self-help skills such as handwashing, snack time, and putting on outerwear
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and staff
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and school events as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or administrator

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• Prior experience in a classroom. Knowledge of classical teaching methods is preferred.
• Embrace a Christ-centered program that cares for the child with initiative, creativity, and energy.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with students, parents, faculty, and administrators with strong, interpersonal competency.

Schedule, Pay & Benefits

• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:30 AM–1:30 PM or Monday - Friday 8:00 AM-1:30 PM
• Job Type: Part-time
• Pay Range: $16–$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
