High School Spanish Teacher (Part-Time)

Liberty Classical Academy is a Christ-centered, classical Preschool–12th grade private school with campuses in White Bear Lake and Hugo, Minnesota. We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and mission-driven Spanish Teacher to join our Upper School faculty at the Hugo campus for the 2026–2027 school year.

This part-time role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about language instruction and enjoys working with students in a faith-based, academically rigorous environment. The Spanish Teacher will primarily teach foundational courses (Spanish I & II) while helping build a strong language program that may expand into upper-level courses in future years.

Liberty Classical Academy – Hugo Campus (Hugo, MN)

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Upper School Spanish courses, primarily Spanish I & II
  • Provide clear, structured instruction in grammar, vocabulary, and foundational language skills
  • Develop student proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
  • Integrate a Christian worldview into all areas of teaching
  • Develop and implement thoughtful lesson plans aligned with student learning goals
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Maintain a structured, orderly, and engaging classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and expectations
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Contribute to the life of the school through student supervision and faculty collaboration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Spanish, Education, or related field preferred)
  • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish required (native speakers strongly preferred)
  • Experience teaching Spanish or working with students preferred
  • Strong understanding of Spanish grammar, composition, and language development
  • Ability to teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills with an emphasis on foundational proficiency
  • Interest in or experience teaching Spanish language and culture, including exposure to Hispanic literature
  • Ability to engage and motivate Upper School students while maintaining a structured classroom environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in or experience with classical education preferred
  • Commitment to integrating a Christian worldview into instruction
  • Agreement with Liberty Classical Academy’s Statement of Faith
  • Interest in contributing to the development and growth of the Upper School Spanish program preferred

Schedule, Pay & Benefits

  • Schedule: Part-time (approximately 17 hours per week; schedule to be determined)
  • Compensation: $18,000+, commensurate with experience and qualifications
