Senior Sunrise: The Start of a New Tradition

Our seniors enjoyed a time of prayer and fellowship to start the last first day of school.

A few of our seniors had the idea to launch a new tradition at Liberty Classical Academy - the Senior Sunrise. At 5:45 AM, the class of 2026 met at the Hugo campus on the first day of school. While they could have slept in on an already early morning, they chose to start the school year (their last first day ever) together.

Equipped with blankets for the grass full of morning dew, the senior class picked a place on our field with the best view of the sunrise. Mr. Jeremiah VanAcker, Spiritual Formation Director, led the students in prayer and encouraged them to pray in pairs or groups for the upcoming school year.

Once the sun rose, senior decorated their cars for the voyage back to our White Bear Lake campus for the Upper School Retreat.

We're so thankful the Class of 2026 took the initiative to plan this event. We're excited to see it live on year after year!
