Liberty's annual Upper Grammar School Speech Meet is upon us! The goal of Speech Meet is to provide a calm opportunity to practice presentation skills in front of an audience. The 3rd-5th grade Speech Meet will be held in the WBL Library on Wednesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 23rd. Each class has an assigned day and time, please see the schedule below. Here are a few reminders:

• • We will be hosting a short reception following each presentation time for families and students at the bottom of the ramp by the gymnasium. Cookies, coffee, and water will be served. 

• • Students will present in their dress uniform, and they should plan to wear dress uniform all day. They may bring tennis shoes for recess and PE.

• • There will be an awards ceremony at the end of each day from 2:45 - 3:15 p.m. in the gymnasium. Afternoon pick-up will occur as normal. If you come back for the awards ceremony, or for the final 5th grade class presentations, please do not park in the lot by the playgrounds as we will need to keep this clear for afternoon pick-up.

Parents, friends, and family members are invited to come and watch, and celebrate the speeches and poems of the 3rd-5th graders. This is an amazing experience for all the students and a highlight of the lower school year. We hope you'll join us!
