MATHCOUNTS is a national middle school mathematics competition that builds problem solving skills and fosters achievement through four levels of fun, in-person "bee" style contests. For a sample of the types of questions asked, click here. In response to COVID-19 this year, all meets will be online (except the national competition is TBD).

All 6th - 8th grade students are welcome! Sign up below if you're interested in joining the team. Practices will tentatively be held every other Wednesday beginning Sep 23rd during Study Hall (5th hour), with increasing frequency (depending on student interest) as we get closer to the official competition. Students may need to skip practices if they need their study hall to catch up on missing assignments.

There will be four, online practice meets (Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan) before the local chapter meets on February 5th. From there, the top student in the school, plus any others who qualify, will be invited to the chapter invitational on February 25th, with the chance to move on to the state and national meets.

The cost will be $60 to participate for the year if you sign up before the early bird deadline of September 29th, after which the cost goes up to $65.
