High School Math & Spanish Teacher (Full-Time)

Liberty Classical Academy is a Christ-centered, classical Preschool–12th grade private school with campuses in White Bear Lake and Hugo, Minnesota. We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and mission-driven educator to join our Upper School faculty at our new Hugo Campus High School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This full-time role is ideal for a versatile teacher who is passionate about both mathematics and language instruction within a Christ-centered, academically rigorous environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching Upper School math courses, including advanced classes such as Pre-Calculus, while also providing foundational Spanish instruction through courses such as Spanish I & II.

Liberty Classical Academy – Hugo Campus (Hugo, MN)

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a combination of Upper School mathematics and Spanish courses
  • Teach math courses which may include Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus
  • Teach Spanish courses focused on foundational grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
  • Foster analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills in students
  • Incorporate elements of Hispanic culture and literature into Spanish instruction
  • Integrate a Christian worldview into all areas of teaching
  • Develop and implement thoughtful lesson plans aligned with student learning goals
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Maintain a structured, orderly, and engaging classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and expectations
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Contribute to the life of the school through student supervision and faculty collaboration
  • Support the continued growth and development of the Upper School program

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Mathematics, Spanish, Education, or related field preferred)
  • Ability to teach advanced mathematics courses such as Pre-Calculus required
  • Native or near-native fluency in Spanish preferred
  • Experience teaching high school mathematics and/or Spanish preferred
  • Strong understanding of mathematical reasoning, grammar instruction, and student learning development
  • Ability to engage and motivate Upper School students while maintaining a structured classroom environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in or experience with classical education preferred
  • Commitment to integrating a Christian worldview into instruction
  • Agreement with Liberty Classical Academy’s Statement of Faith
  • Interest in contributing to the continued growth of the Upper School program preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Starting at $42,000+, based on education and experience
