The schedule remains largely the same with the exception of the start time at both the upper school campus, and the White Bear Lake campus. Beginning the 2026-27 school year, these divisions will start at 8:00 AM to allow for 4 minute passing times.

Below are the school hours for each campus: 

• Preschool-2nd Grade: 8:20 AM - 3:05 PM
• 3rd-8th Grade: 8 AM - 3:15 PM
• 9th-12th Grade: 8 AM - 3:15 PM

Before and aftercare will be available at both sites beginning at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m.

Yes, the upper school will have a separate entrance from the preschool-2nd grade program with a dedicated front desk and security features that include sectioned doors and state-of-the-art security cameras.

Both divisions have separate entrances, and drop-off locations. 

The entrance for the preschool-2nd grade will remain the same, however, the access point will move to Keller Ave, and will include a new turnaround for families.

The upper school drop-off and pickup times do not conflict with the preschool-2nd grade program.

Yes, there will be a bus now departing from the WBL campus going to Hugo at approximately 7:30 AM specifically for upper school students, as well as a bus returning to the WBL campus in the afternoon leaving Hugo at approximately 3:20 PM.

All other busing remains the same.

Yes, we will keep the current bus options for K-8th grade students. A bus will still depart Hugo going to WBL at approximately 7:30 AM for any 3rd-8th grade riders. It will return to the Hugo campus from WBL at approximately 7:55 AM with K-2nd grade riders.

In the afternoon, a bus is available to bring any K-2 riders from Hugo back to WBL at 3:05 PM, and any 3rd-8th grade riders from WBL to Hugo at 3:30 PM. 

Given the new addition is separate and only connected by a hallway, there is unlikely to be daily interaction except for when upper school students get their hot lunch. Otherwise, interaction will occur when buddy time is being implemented, or during special, all-school assemblies.

The lunch period for upper school students will remain consistent; it will be approx. 12:25-1 PM.

While upper school students will retrieve hot lunch from the current Hugo cafeteria used by the preschool-2nd grade program, upper school students will not eat in the cafeteria. Instead, if they order hot lunch, they will pick it up and eat it in the new multipurpose area in the upper school building.

Upper school students will not eat with the  preschool-2nd grade students.

Upper school students will have access to the hot lunch program in the LS cafeteria but they will eat in the new multipurpose area in the upper school building.

Juniors and seniors will be permitted to leave campus for the lunch period. We are preparing a list of options including nearby convenience stores and restaurants that are within a 10-mile radius. We are also developing a relationship with Sal's (> 1 mi.) which may be a possibility for lunch 1 or more days of the week.

Our new student concession stand/school store plan is to be open with lunch concessions available each day. We hope to have an entrepreneurial elective for students which would entail running the student store.

We also envision having the concessions open before and after school for coffee and snacks/candy for purchase.

Our goal is to establish a middle school worship team. If that is not possible, then a selected musician will lead their worship time during MS assemblies. 

Speaker Chapel and Worship Chapel will happen on the regularly scheduled assembly days for both the MS and US.

We plan to record the speaker and play it for the MS via video. That way, our Spiritual Formation Director Mr. Jeremiah VanAcker will be present to introduce and lead both divisions. It is possible that where the speaker is physically located to speak live each month may vacillate between campuses a few times.

Thanksgiving assemblies will switch to one happening at Hugo (K-2/US) in the morning, and WBL in the afternoon.

With a separate entrance and main office, the upper school building will have a full-time front desk employee, as well as administrative support directly related to the upper school such as the upper school director, college counseling services and relevant administrative support like admissions, marketing, and development. Upper school students and families will retain access to members of our learning specialist team, health services, a lunch coordinator and teaching staff that includes all specialties like music, art, and physical education in the new facility as well.

Staff services will remain unchanged at the White Bear Lake campus. A small number of staff already split time between both campuses, and the financial department and part of the advancement team will remain onsite full time at the White Bear Lake campus.
