Lower School Speech Meet

Every fall, students in our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade classes perform in the Speech Meet. They have worked hard to prepare and memorize poems, historical speeches, and other famous literary works to be recited to a room-filled audience. As they do, they develop poise, eloquence, composure, and more importantly - confidence in public speaking.

The Speech Meet is a keystone of the Grammar Stage, and a great example of the best in classical education. From the First Graders expounding upon Julius Caesar to Fifth Graders reciting notable speeches of modern leaders, you will be delighted at their achievements! All are welcome to attend – invite your friends and family.
